In the Marshal’s Bootprints – a walking tour

The building designed for the Mikkeli volunteer fire brigade by architect Wilhelm A. Tötterström was completed in 1892. It was extended in 1911 and in 1934 the city of Mikkeli purchased it for a festival hall. The Main Guard and the Staff Battalion were housed in the building during the Winter and Continuation Wars. The city of Mikkeli donated the building to the Mikkeli Theatre in 1969.
