Naisvuori Water Tower
>>Naisvuori

A water tower designed by Selim A. Lindqvist was built in 1912 on the top of the Naisvuori hill, on the site of a pavilion from 1883. During the Winter and Continuation Wars the tower was used for air control. It had a signal connection to the regional air control centre in Lokki. The tower was given its present look by architect Eero Jokilehto in 1949. The Naisvuori tower has served as a tourist attraction since 1953.
