In the Marshal’s Bootprints – a walking tour

The building designed by treasurer Juho Tamminen and A.O. Kemppe was completed in 1882 as a residential building. In 1900 it was sold to Mikkeli Workers’ Association which still owns and uses it. In the first stages of the Winter War the hall was used by a part of the Central Company and during the Continuation was it housed a part of Signal Battalion 1. The hall also housed civilian workshops during the war.
