In the Marshal’s Bootprints – a walking tour

In 1941-44, i.e. during the Continuation War, the Headquarters’ Communications Centre Lokki worked in rooms quarried into the Naisvuori hill. In addition to the communications centre the Naisvuori caves also housed a regional air control centre, a German signal station and rest rooms for the personnel. They also housed spare offices for Marshal Mannerheim and the rest of the military leaders. The renovated Communications Centre Lokki was opened to the public in 1995.
