-Finland´s War Years Multimedia, EUR 20
Finland´s War Years Multimedia, which was drawn up for an exhibition housed in the Headquarters Museum, is now available on CD-ROM. Based on the manuscript of Ilkka Seppinen, it explores the effects of war on Finnish society. The work also sheds light on the background of military history, showing how the Winter War and the Continuation War were not isolated events but had their roots in what was happening on the international venue at that time. The emphasis is on political history, not so much on the actual stages of war. The most important persons and the social effects of war are presented as information boxes of their own.
In addition to text and photographs, the work includes a 12-minute video of Finland´s war years that summarises the most important milestones of the war and its effects on people´s lives in the post-war society.
