The City of Mikkeli has interrupted its services and closed its offices to slow down the coronavirus epidemic.
No events
The City of Mikkeli will not hold public events indoors or outdoors. The City also prohibits the use of its facilities for public events.
Private events are not recommended. If private events are organized, the number of participants should be limited to 6 people who are wearing masks. Food or beverage service should not be provided.
Museums and libraries
City museums are closed except the art museum which is open starting April 14th, maximum 6 persons. Using mask is mandatory.
Libraries are closed, loaning is possible by booking online.
Sports facilities and schools
The sports facilities of the schools are closed and the city's indoor sports venues are not in customer use.
Youth facilities are closed
The Lunch Room in the City's office building is closed.
Masks
The City recommends over 12 year old residents to use a face mask outside home. The use of the mask is mandatory for City employees.
